Origami Boxes

Only the exterior surfaces of the origami boxes are visible, focusing attention on their constructed geometry. The boxes are arranged asymmetrically, yet each is oriented along a north, south, east, and west axis, creating a quiet sense of order within the composition. Viewed from a three-sided, three-quarter perspective, the forms advance and recede in space, activating the negative areas between them. Directional lighting creates a fan-like spread of shadows that enhances depth and extends the presence of the boxes beyond their physical edges.
