Directions: Park either beneath the building and enter in the door on the parking lot level or park in the lot south of the Mainframe Building and enter through he main entrance at the front of the building. The elevators are located in the center of he building. Go to floor 2. Upon leaving the elevator, take a slight right, then a slight left and go down the hall to Studio 227.

Description: For all those who claim they cannot draw a stick figure––this is the class for you. If you are truly interested in being able to see the world in a new way and gain knowledge about the tools and tricks of the trade, you will learn to draw the stick figure and more.
This course will give you the skills, understanding and confidence to enable you to draw from observation.
Beginning: This class size is limited and structured so that you can work at your own pace. Participants will be given weekly skill-building exercises that will introduce the them to the "language" of drawing. Participants will learn about how the principles and elements of art art achieved through drawing. While drawing from observation, participants will be introduced to classical and contemporary drawing approaches while investigating how various drawing materials and surfaces work together.
Intermediate: For those who have already taken drawing classes but are still wanting to improve their understanding of the tools available or want to practice, practice, practice, this class is for you. The class is structured with a limited number of students and the flexibility to allow you to work at your own pace. Participants will continue to work on taking 3-dimensional objects and translating them into 2-dimensional space. Students will be challenged to strengthen their drawing skills and increase their understanding of how to use the tools and methods available.

Newsprint pad (18" x 24")
Drawing board (23 1/2" x 26")
2 each of these charcoal pencils (2B, 4B, 6B)
Pencil sharpener
Pink eraser
Old T-shirt
Some type of carrying case for your drawing tools
Intermediate:
Bring any tools you have or are currently using. If necessary, suggestions will be made for any drawing tools
you need as we progress through assignments.
