Basics in Acrylics, Watercolors, and Pastels
2-4 PM $170
Students will experience three popular painting mediums: acrylics, watercolors, and pastels. Students will explore the unique characteristics of each medium and learn about essential tools and techniques to create their artwork.
Students will practice techniques for applying each medium, experimenting with blending, layering, and texture to understand how each medium behaves. By working on simple still-life and landscape compositions, they will compare and contrast how acrylic, watercolor, and pastels can bring their ideas to life.
By the end of the camp, students will be able to express their preferences for each medium and discuss what they like or dislike about them. This is a great opportunity to experiment with different artistic tools and build confidence in the creative process.
