Description: If you want to try painting in a new medium or brush the dust off your current skill set, these classes are for you.
Participants will build their understanding of how to use the tools available for the medium of their choice.
This course will give you the skills, understanding, and confidence to paint from observation.
Beginning: This class size is limited and structured so you can work independently. Participants will be given weekly skill-building exercises that will introduce them to the "language" of painting. Participants will learn about how the principles and elements of art are achieved through painting. While painting from observation, participants will be introduced to classical and contemporary approaches while investigating how various painting materials and surfaces work together.
Intermediate: For those who have already taken painting classes but are still wanting to improve their understanding of the tools available or want to practice this class is for you. The class is structured with a limited number of students and the flexibility to allow you to work at your own pace. Students will be challenged to strengthen their painting skills and increase their understanding of how to use the tools and methods available.

Intermediate: Bring any tools you have or are currently using. If necessary, suggestions will be made for any other tools you need as we progress through assignments.
